How is it used and above all what are the risks inherent in its application on the face?
The frozen roller: a tool to energize the skin and restore its radiance
The Iced Roller is a gadget made up of a rather thick handle and a cooling roller to be applied to the face. This end is made of stainless steel, but can also be obtained, in some cases, by freezing water. But what is such a tool for?
After being previously placed in the refrigerator, it is applied directly to the skin (already oiled or moisturized for greater comfort). Its use is done rolling from the inside of the face outwards (a bit like a lymphatic massage). This movement allows itactivate blood microcirculation, drain lymph and tighten pores thanks to the action of cold. But not only! Contact with the frozen roller also decongests the face, gives brightness to the epidermis and activates the production of collagen and elastin to obtain greater skin elasticity.
Beware of the cold!
If some icy rollers cause no problems during use because they are made of stainless steel, others, formed with ice water can question. And for good reason, applying a frozen instrument directly to the face without protection can cause redness, burns or, in the most extreme cases, frostbite.
