UPDATED FEBRUARY 11, 2023: Justin Bieber and Kodak Black are among those charged by two men who claim they were hit by bullets before an after-party in West Hollywood last year.
The shooting happened after a private Bieber concert for A-listers. Request two men They were shot and seriously injured in the February 2022 shooting outside The Nice Guy venue after the party.
The lawsuit alleges that Kodak Black was largely responsible for instigating the filming, which took place as he left the venue. The alleged shooting victims are being assisted by attorney Gloria Allred.
Also named in the suit were The Nice Guy restaurant, where the party was held; hospitality company The Hwood Group; online fashion and lifestyle company Revolve Group; and the City of Los Angeles, the City of West Hollywood and Los Angeles County.
UPDATED 17:10: According to law enforcement and various media reports, controversial rapper Kodak Black (aka Bill Kapri) has been identified as one of three people shot and killed outside of Justin Bieber’s after-party in West Hollywood last night.
Black fled after the incident, but later called police from a nearby location to report that he had been shot. It is unclear whether he has been admitted to hospital or whether charges are pending against him.
Footage captured by TMZ shows Kodak Black leaving the after-party with an entourage and fellow rapper Gunna. During the shoot, they stopped for fan photos. As paparazzi surrounded, a fistfight broke out nearby, spilling back onto the sidewalk where the Kodak Black Party was standing. The moment is then marked by 10 shots and a subsequent scramble.
Kapri, who was born Dieuson Octave, has an extensive criminal record. He was sentenced to prison for gun possession in 2019 and later pardoned by President Donald Trump.
Swart’s representatives have not yet commented on his condition or the incident.
EARLY, Saturday: An after-party following a Justin Bieber concert on the outskirts of West Hollywood was thrown into chaos Friday night when gunfire followed an altercation outside the venue.
The City News Service reports that police were dispatched to the 400 block of North La Cienega Boulevard between Beverly Boulevard and Melrose Avenue at 2:45 a.m., according to Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division.
“They (witnesses) heard a struggle outside when several shots were fired,” Madison said. Bieber was not involved and there was no indication that he knew about the incidents.
TMZ claims the fight took place in front of The Nice Guy restaurant near the Pacific Design Center, where Bieber was performing a concert. Those in attendance reportedly included Leonardo DiCaprio, Drake, Tobey Maguire, Kendall Jenner and Khloe Kardashian.
The injured include a 19-year-old man, a 60-year-old man and possibly a 24-year-old man who left the scene. The first two victims were taken to hospital. The third victim later called the police to report that he had been shot.
No arrests have been made.
