love is blind officially come to the UK.
The Netflix UK Twitter account posted a tweet in the past hour which read: “Big news: love is blind Come to the UK” with a link to sign up for the show.
Married at first sight Indie CPL Productions will produce the UK version.
Produced by Kinetic Content, the US version of love is blind was hugely successful in three seasons and 40 episodes. A Brazilian clip and a Japanese clip have already aired.
The show features 15 local men and 15 women hoping to find love, meeting in purpose-built “pods” where they can’t see each other. They talk on several dates and then decide if they want to propose. From there, the couple can meet in person if a marriage proposal is accepted, and the series follows their lives as they move in together and prepare for marriage.
The UK version will follow similar Netflix reality hits that originated in the country, such as The circle And Too hot to touch. The United States love is blind is one of Netflix’s most successful entertainment programs.
