EXCLUSIVE: Digital content indie Cowshed Social has been rebranded as Cowshed Collective, signed by a former YMU head of business, and split into four divisions.
Cowshed, which creates content for Gen-Zs, will now work with a Studios, Social, Creators and Ventures division. Studios will focus on producing content for broadcasters, Social on brand building, Creators on talent development and Ventures will be business-to-business.
Hamizadeh is a well-known mercenary who joins as chief business officer. She is a former Chief Business Officer of YMU and has also worked at UK publisher Haymarket. She joins shortly after former Channel 4 and BBC Studios manager Matt Ford, while Cowshed Collective also recently appointed Joana Gutscher, former LADbible Group production manager.
“Cowshed is an impressive company that is a one-stop shop for content, production and delivering a high standard to customers,” said Hamizadeh. “I am excited to be involved in the next phase of the company’s overall development.”
Ford added: “Having previously worked closely with Maryam, I know what an asset she will be to the company as we embark on our next chapter as the Cowshed Collective.”
