Chadd Harbold has been appointed executive producer of Russ Posternak’s Post Film

EXCLUSIVE: Indie director and producer Chadd Harbold has been hired as executive producer at Post Film, the fast-growing independent film production and financing company led by Russ Posternak.

In Harbold’s new role, he will oversee all aspects of production for the company’s upcoming film series, while also developing new projects for production and/or financing.

Harbold’s feature film production includes Ana Asensio’s work most beautiful island, for which he was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award; Financial assistance! The studios’ upcoming sci-fi drama linoleum, starring Jim Gaffigan and Rhea Seehorn; and the crime drama the south of heavenwith Jason Sudeikis and Evangeline Lilly, and Film’s Post Becky’s wraththe sequel to Becky, the best indie action thriller of 2020 premiering at SXSW Film Festival 2023.

Among the titles directed by Harbold is the thriller private property, with Ashley Benson and Shiloh Fernandez, which he also produced; and the Fernandez-led romance drama Long nights, short morningswhich bowed at SXSW.

“After a successful collaboration Becky’s wrath“I am thrilled that Chadd is joining the Post Film team,” Posternak told Deadline. “As a highly experienced and creative filmmaker, he is a tremendous addition to our team and all the filmmakers we work with, and significantly expands the company’s physical production capabilities.”

I am excited about the opportunity to produce high quality, creative and commercial independent films with Post.”

Post Film has also produced and/or financed titles including the SXSW premiere of thriller Winona Ryder, away in the night; Brittany Snow’s SXSW-bound directorial debut parachute (e.g 09/17) with Courtney Eaton, Thomas Mann, Kid Cudi, Gina Rodriguez and Dave Bautista; and the terror All you need is bloodwith Mena Suvari and Eddie Griffin, which is currently in post-production.

Titles produced and/or financed by Posternak prior to its launch of Post Film include those by William Brent Bell Take leave, released in 2021 in 2000 theaters; the Netflix original stowaway with Anna Kendrick and Toni Collette; and the coming misanthrope with Shailene Woodley and Ben Mendelsohn.
