BBC3 appoints new content director as Fiona Campbell steps into youth audience role

BBC3 has appointed Nasfim Haque as head of content after controller Fiona Campbell was promoted to a new role overseeing the UK channel’s youth audience.

Haque was BBC3’s interim channel editor for more than a year, but has now been confirmed as content director for the youth channel. She will report to Campbell, whose new title is Controller of Youth Audience for iPlayer and BBC3.

Before joining BBC3, Haque was the de facto Entertainment Commissioner, overseeing shows including Meet the KhansBBC3 series featuring boxer Amir Khan and Scarlett’s driving schoolBBC1’s upcoming female-fronted reality show glasses case Starring Scarlett Moffatt.

She began her career as a production intern at BBC Wales before working in development and production roles at independent producers such as Love Productions.

Haque said: “BBC3 plays a key role in attracting the next generation of viewers to the BBC, so I feel privileged to work on a channel I love and to ensure our content continues to appeal to younger viewers across the UK.”
