Girl, five, cheats her death when motorist hits her – she drives through the driving school’s window – but she walks away barely hurt… three months after ANOTHER drunk driver crashes into her car

A five-year-old girl miraculously escaped with nothing but a few cuts after being thrown through a window by a drunk driver.

Horrifying CCTV footage of the incident from the office of a driving school in Bonito shows the moment a battered, dark-coloured hatchback crossed the road towards little Maria Luiza, who was playing outside near a potted plant.

The car, which crashed into a motorbike in front of the office – knocking down the 60-year-old owner – crashed head-on into the potted plant, throwing her and Maria into the office window, which immediately broke.

Additional footage from the office showed the girl flying across the room and landing in a row of metal chairs from the force of the impact as the car sprayed debris over the desk.

When the motorcycle and the owner were already on the lawn, the car drove into the factory and the girl crashed through the office window.

For a moment it seemed the worst had happened.

But somehow Maria jumped up and ran into her father’s arms, who himself was hit by the wayward vehicle just outside the door.

Maria’s parents own a refrigeration business next to the driving school and witnessed the horrific collision with their own eyes.

“We just finished working and sat in front for a while…it went so fast,” says Maria’s father.

“[Maria]had an X-ray, a CT scan and nothing came out,” Maria’s mother told Brazilian outlet Globo after it was discovered her daughter suffered no more than a few minor cuts from the broken glass .

She then went on to make an impassioned plea for people to reconsider drink driving.

He picks her up and carries her into the clearing to wait for the ambulance

“From the moment they drink, they should know it’s dangerous. I thank God that she is here with us today. I just have to say thank you, because it was very difficult,” she said.

Incredibly, this is not the first time little Maria has come this close.

Her parents told Globo that three months ago she was in a car that was hit by another drunk driver and required 26 stitches to her head.

Firefighters and police officers were called to the scene of the accident, which took place on Saturday afternoon in Mato Grosso do Sul state.

The suspect was breathalyzed at the scene and immediately arrested when the test showed he was drunk.

A police spokesman said the suspect probably fell asleep at the wheel after the driver claimed he had no memory of the incident but admitted he had been drinking with friends before getting into the driver’s seat.

Maria escaped with minimal injuries, but the 60-year-old motorcyclist involved in the incident was taken to hospital with chest pains and a suspected thigh fracture.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
