Marilyn Manson is facing a lawsuit filed by a woman who claims the singer sexually assaulted her in 1995 when she was 16 and later when she was an adult.
The lawsuit, filed Monday in New York Supreme Court (read it here ), comes a week after a settlement was reached in a lawsuit game of thrones Actress Esmé Bianco, who filed a lawsuit alleging that Manson, real name Brian Warner, sexually assaulted her.
The lawsuit in New York was filed by a Jane Doe, which her lawyers say protects the woman’s privacy as a victim of sexual assault. The lawsuit also names Interscope Music Publishing and Nothing Records as defendants accused of knowing about Manson’s behavior.
“As a result of Brian Warner’s sexual assault and battery, which was facilitated and encouraged by defendants Interscope and Nothing Records, the plaintiff experienced severe emotional, physical and psychological distress, including shame and guilt, economic loss, economic power and emotional loss. ” Legal action.
Howard King, Manson’s lawyer, said in a statement: “Brian Warner does not know this person and does not remember ever meeting her 28 years ago. He was definitely never intimate with her. She has been shopping her made-up story to tabloids and podcasts for over two years. But even the most minimal investigation reveals the apparent inconsistencies in their ever-changing stories, as well as their extensive collusion with other false accusers. King added that the “notable inconsistencies will show why these misguided actions will not stand up to legal scrutiny.”
According to the lawsuit, Jane Doe was 16 when she met Manson at a concert. He invited her and other girls on his tour bus. He then “committed several criminal sexual acts against the plaintiff, who was then a virgin, including but not limited to forced copulation and vaginal penetration. One of the group members witnessed the defendant Warner sexually abusing the plaintiff. The plaintiff was in pain, scared, upset, humiliated and confused,” the lawsuit states.
Then after he finished, according to Suit, “Manson laughed at her.” Plaintiff is informed and then alleges that all of the sexual abuse and harassing conduct alleged herein was done to satisfy Defendant Warner’s own lascivious sexual desires. Defendant Warner then ordered the plaintiff to “get the crap off my bus” and threatened the plaintiff that he would kill her and her family if she told anyone.
Jane Doe then claims that Manson’s tour manager gave her a 1-800 number to keep in touch with the band and a 1-800 number to have special access to the band. She rushed off the bus, “convinced that she had to shut up or defendant Warner would kill her and her family.”
Afraid to tell anyone what had happened, she then began using drugs for the first time, the beginning of a long-term addiction, the lawsuit states. Manson then began contacting her at home, “to apply
The accused sends explicit sex photos of her and her friends to his fan club Satan’s Bakesale.
Defendant Warner also began communicating directly with plaintiff via an Internet chat
Group.”
According to the lawsuit, she went to another show, this one in New Orleans, “at the encouragement and insistence” of Manson. He took her back to the tour bus and “groomed” her by “complimenting her, playing with her hair and looking at the pictures and drawings she brought with her.” Then she experienced a second attack.
“Another man involved in the tour was on the bus when accused Warner sexually assaulted the complainant. To the best of my knowledge, this man was an employee of the defendants. After the second attack
Defendant Warner became friendlier to plaintiff and told her he wanted to see him
her again,” the lawsuit states.
As she grew older, Jane Doe continued her interest in the music scene and was introduced to Chris Vrenna, the drummer for Trent Reznor’s band Nine Inch Nails, and they began dating.
At 19 and addicted to drugs and alcohol, she was lured into Manson’s “dark world”, back to his concerts, because she was made to feel “special and chosen” by the singer. According to the lawsuit, Manson drugged her for four weeks and continued to “groom, molest and sexually abuse” her. The lawsuit claims that Manson’s “intended effect was to exert control over the plaintiff for his own sexual gratification.”
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages and an injunction barring the defendants from “collecting future illegal business practices, including but not limited to subjecting minors and vulnerable adults to sexual abuse and exploitation.”
Rolling Stone first reported the lawsuit.
