A video shows the terrifying moment a “drunk” woman climbs over a security fence and is mauled by a lion.

The perpetrator was brutally mauled by a big cat named Aristo in a “terrible incident” at a zoo in Ussuriysk, Russia.

The unidentified woman survived, but “almost lost her hand”. She is now in the hospital.

A statement from the zoo said the woman, who was “in a state of intoxication” in the freezing conditions, “provoked a lion – and it injured her hand.”

Judging by the video, she looked around and began climbing over the fence, where three feet above it is a sign that reads “Do not pass the fences.”

“Then our employees ran towards her screaming, but the woman did not stop.

“Everything happened in a matter of seconds.

“Unfortunately, she was very close to the camp and the predator grabbed her hand.

“After the woman was pulled from the fence, staff administered first aid to her.

“We immediately called an ambulance.

“Now the woman is in the hospital and we really hope the doctors save her hand.”

“Let our tragedy at least help some people come to their senses.”
