In May 2022, director Paul Feig announced a sequel to A Simple Favor starring Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick. And now the latter reported that the project is starting to take shape.

In the sequel, Anna will reprise her role as single mom Stephanie. Since the movie ended with multiple takes and Blake’s character behind bars, Anna hinted that the events in the original movie greatly influenced the carefree vlogger mother character.
“They did a great job of making him, in a way, older and smarter. But at the same time, there are qualities in himself that a person cannot really change, ”said the artist. According to her, her character “got a little smarter”, but “at the end of the day she’s still Stephanie,” she said.
