An Aladdin theory has finally been confirmed by its directors

If you have some of the history of the cartoon in mind, you probably remember that at the very beginning of the film, in the first scene, a salesman wants to reforge several wacky items, ranging from an indestructible (but broken) fryer to a butt plate, the famous Dead Sea Tupperware.

And then suddenly, the seller presents the famous lamp and its history. But by the way, who is this guy really?

This is true ! This was our original intention. We even did a scene at the end of the movie where the salesman was shown as the genius, and of course Robin Williams also voiced the character.

But with the story changes and editing, we’ve removed this revelation. So it became an urban legend that is actually true.
