2023 has arrived, it’s time to grow old. We thank TikTok and his video for this generational clash that shows us once again that the days go by like machines (thanks Nèg ‘Marrons for this ref that never dies).
Imitating a phone, this simple action that puts years in your face
On the TikTok network, user @yadirycz asks her daughter, born in 2017, to mime what she does when she answers the phone. She imitates the latter by holding a rectangular object, similar to a smartphone. Instead, when the adult present is asked to do the same thing, he uses the good old technique of the little finger and the extended thumb glued to the ear, a gesture that (almost) all of us do.
But the shock of generations doesn’t stop there: when @yadirycz asks her daughter to mime the action to take a picture, she takes a selfie, when the adult, born in 1997, holds a camera in front of his eyes and imitates the “click” of pressing the imaginary button on what you might think is an old disposable Kodak.
@yadirycz Everyone must try this one its too cute 😂😂

I personally tested this morning on my 6 year old daughter, and yes, she mimics the action with a smartphone, and she doesn’t understand at all why I use my fingers to mimic a phone, she finds it ridiculous. Clearly, in your eyes we are not far from the EHPAD, thank you very much.
So, which team are you on? Are you imitating a smartphone or a Nokia 3310? Or just a phone with an outside line?
