‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ would already have a release date on Disney+

In November, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, the film that marked the end of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was released in theaters. In the same way as it happens with the various Marvel Studios projects, the streaming platform in charge of hosting “Black Panther 2” is Disney+a place from which the public will be able to visit Wakanda and its culture again this month.

The Disney+ team reportedly confirmed this to The Hollywood Handle ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ will premiere on the platform on Friday, January 20th. This means that from the arrival in theaters (November 11) of the film to the date on which it is available in streaming there is a difference of 70 days. Compared to Marvel Studios’ other two theatrical releases in 2022, it means 8 days more waiting than the admission of “Thor: Love and Thunder” on Disney+ and That far exceeds the measly 47 days it took ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ to go from the big screen to the small screen, a UCM project that holds the record for the smallest difference in days between the cinema and the home.

With $818.5 million raised, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ is the 6th highest-grossing film of 2022 in the global market, is below ‘Doctor Strange 2’ which achieved $955.8 million at the box office (4th position in 2022), and above ‘Thor 4’ which reached eighth position with $760.9 million. Shuri breaks records

Leaving the world market behind and focusing only on the US domestic box office, ‘Wakanda: Forever’ is the highest-grossing female-directed superhero film in the country’s history. With approximately 429,947,000 million dollars raised, the project led by Letitia Wright as Shuri surpasses ‘Captain Marvel’ (427 million) and ‘Wonder Woman’ (413 million).
