Jake Gyllenhaal said that filming Jennifer Aniston’s love scenes in The Good Girl was not easy as she fell in love with the actress in real life.
In an interview on The Howard Stern Show, the host asked Gyllenhaal if it was “torture” to shoot love scenes with someone she loves in real life. The actor jokingly replied, “Yes, it was torture, but it wasn’t torture either. It was like a mix of the two.” Jake also added that the “mechanical nature” of the love scenes was fortunately well enough to hide his true feelings for Jennifer.

“Oddly enough, the love scenes are weird because there are maybe 30 to 50 people watching them,” Jake said. He explained that filming candid scenes is “a kind of dance you put on camera.”
Jake also revealed that Aniston suggested using a pillow between them to make them feel more comfortable during the shoot.
