Rhode Beauty founder Hailey Bieber has dyed her signature light brown hair a dark, deep chocolate color for the autumn season.
The 29 year old model revealed the change, her darkest shade since 2015, on September 19. Her hairstylist Irinel de Leon shared a photograph of the fresh cut on Instagram, showing Bieber with a glossy pout.
Celebrity colorist Matt Rez created the vampy brunette shade. Bieber has not worn her hair this dark since attending the Met Gala in a blue mini dress in 2015.
The transformation comes shortly after she welcomed her son Jack, two, with her husband Justin Bieber. She previously told a fellow mother on TikTok that she planned to wait at least a year after giving birth before making major beauty changes. In September 2024, she debuted lighter locks one month after Jack was born.
"You would look stunning," Bieber wrote at the time, "but let's hold hands and agree to not make any big hair decisions post partum! Personally giving myself at least a year!"
She had briefly worn an icy blonde bob wig in March. Speaking to People magazine in 2022, Bieber said her approach is simple. "It might be completely different in another five years and even more different the five after that," she said. "But right now, for me, less is definitely more."

Bieber joins a long list of entertainers and television personalities updating their appearances over the past two years. Actor Connor Storrie shaved his head in August 2026, removing the curls he wore to play Ilya Rozanov while filming the second season of the gay hockey romance Heated Rivalry.
Marvel actor Sebastian Stan also shaved his head for the Los Angeles premiere of Thunderbolts in April 2025, leaving behind the long hair associated with his character Bucky Barnes. Actor Jason Momoa shaved his beard for the first time in six years in July 2025, needing a clean shaven look to reprise the role of Duncan Idaho in Dune: Part Three. Late night television host John Oliver dyed his hair jet black for a guest appearance on the ABC soap opera General Hospital, while Queer Eye stylist Tan France dyed his signature gray hair dark brown in April 2026 for a role. He clarified the change was not a midlife crisis.
Television hosts and reality stars
Professional wrestler John Cena shaved his head in June 2026 for a second follicular unit extraction hair transplant. The athlete had appeared with a full head of brown hair at the premiere of Little Brother two weeks earlier.

In September 2026, reality television star Whitney Leavitt of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives channeled her original MomTok era by cutting her long hair into a bob. Gypsy Rose Blanchard, star of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup, cut her hair into a short bob in March 2025, two months after she and fiance Ken Urker welcomed their daughter Aurora.
Whitney Rose of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City revealed a red bob on Watch What Happens Live in January 2025. Sami Sheen, daughter of actors Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards, documented her home hair dye process on TikTok. "I've been wanting to do this to my hair for years now, and I'm so happy that I finally did it," she said.

Country music singer Carrie Underwood returned to her natural dark hair in August 2025, telling Instagram followers she had not seen the color since she was 12 years old. Singer Kelly Clarkson revealed a shorter, dark bob in a July 2025 promotion for the television singing competition The Voice, and Demi Lovato debuted shorter, lighter hair in April 2024.
Musician JoJo Siwa wore a rainbow mohawk to the GLAAD Media Awards in March 2025. Model Emily Ratajkowski cut shaggy bangs the same month, describing the result on TikTok as the worst haircut of her life.
