Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey Bieber marked their eighth wedding anniversary on Sunday with a playful, affection-filled game of pool at a sports bar.
The 32-year-old singer shared a series of photos to his Instagram account showing the couple getting close during the game, including one snap in which the pair appeared just inches from a kiss.
"8 years until infinity," Bieber wrote in the caption. "NEW BEGINNINGS... I love you baby Happy Anniversary," he added, alongside a red heart, a chainlink and a kiss emoji.
Bieber, a Canadian singer who was discovered on YouTube as a teenager and went on to release albums including "Purpose" and "Justice," has been one of pop music's most recognizable stars for more than a decade. Hailey, a model who has appeared in campaigns around the world, is also the founder of the skincare brand Rhode and the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin.
A flirty game of pool
Bieber wore a short-sleeved gray hoodie and dark jeans for the outing, while Hailey, 29, opted for a sporty two-tone baseball shirt and jeans that gave a glimpse of her toned stomach.
In one photo, Hailey leaned playfully toward her husband as he rested a hand on her hip, with the two appearing to close in for a kiss. Hailey reposted the image to her own Instagram Stories with the words "8 years" written across it.
Other photos showed Bieber racking the balls in a triangular rack while Hailey stood nearby holding a cue with a playful smirk on her face, and another captured him appearing to coach his wife through her shot. Hailey poked fun at her own game in the comments, writing, "8 years of me being horrendous at playing pool."
How the Biebers' marriage began
Sunday's celebration marked the anniversary of the couple's first, very private wedding in September 2018, held at a New York courthouse with only two other people present. A year later, they held a larger, traditional ceremony at the luxury resort Montage Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina.
In August 2024, the couple welcomed their son, Jack Blues, whom they have been featuring more frequently on their social media accounts in recent months.
Tension at a friend's wedding
The loved-up anniversary display comes two weeks after Bieber and Hailey were photographed having an intense and emotional exchange at the wedding of Billie Eilish's brother, Finneas O'Connell, and Claudia Sulewski. The ceremony took place in Montecito, California, on August 29.
Eilish, the singer known for hits including "Bad Guy" and "Ocean Eyes," officiated the wedding, which was held in the garden of the exclusive San Ysidro Ranch. Finneas, a Grammy-winning producer and songwriter who has worked extensively with his sister, married Sulewski that day. Bieber and Hailey appeared to be having a disagreement before he walked away, with the moment caught on camera.
Despite the tense exchange, the couple also shared loved-up selfies from the event.
A magazine cover and growing empires
Earlier this week, the pair shared a passionate kiss for the inaugural cover of WYouth magazine, headlined "Justin and Hailey Bieber, more in love than ever." The feature offered intimate glimpses of their life at home, including affectionate photos of the couple cuddling in bed.
Bieber and Hailey have managed to keep their marriage strong while each builds a separate business empire. Bieber has earned hundreds of millions of dollars through world tours, record deals and the sale of his music catalog.
In April of this year, Bieber secured a reported $10 million payday to headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, one of the largest music festivals in the world, where his clothing and lifestyle brand SKYLRK reportedly saw a surge in merchandise sales.
Hailey, who has fronted major global campaigns for brands including Guess, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger, is reported to be worth $300 million, a fortune built in part on the sale of her skincare brand, Rhode, to cosmetics company e.l.f. Beauty.
