French television networks are launching their autumn 2026 programming schedules between Monday, August 24 and early September with major presenter changes across several channels.
The upcoming season is described as relatively quiet compared to previous years, though several key schedule modifications will alter viewer habits across public and private broadcasters.

France 2 Presenter Changes and News Relaunch
The main potential shift on France 2 involves presenter Léa Salamé, who is expected to leave her position hosting the flagship 8:00 pm evening news bulletin. The potential departure follows the likely candidacy of her partner, politician Raphaël Glucksmann, in the 2027 French presidential election, although no official announcement has been made. Journalist Jean-Baptiste Marteau is rumored as a potential successor for the news desk.
Ahead of the upcoming presidential election year, public channel France 2 is relaunching its political program L'heure de vérité. Presenter Caroline Roux will host the show alongside journalists Benjamin Duhamel and Eugénie Bastié, as well as economist Thomas Porcher.
Morning show Télématin resumes on Monday with Maya Lauqué hosting solo from 6:30 am to 9:15 am following the exit of Damien Thévenot. Journalist Francis Letellier joins the team to conduct the political interview segment Les 4 vérités. Agathe Lecaron will host Télématin, la suite from Monday to Thursday, while Marie Portolano presents a new formula of La maison des maternelles on Fridays.
Changes are also coming to health magazine Le Mag de la santé, which will be hosted by Flavie Flament alongside two new doctors, Dr. Gilbert Bou Jaoudé and Dr. Diana Kadouch. Public broadcaster France Télévisions removed Dr. Jimmy Mohamed from the program due to personal circumstances.
Meanwhile, Damien Thévenot, who was let go from Télématin, will present the game show Mot de passe daily following the 8:00 pm news bulletin, replacing former Miss France winner Camille Cerf.
TF1 Lineup and New Entertainment Formats
Commercial broadcaster TF1 brings back presenter Bruce Toussaint on Monday to host morning show Bonjour without panelist and singer Lorie. At 10:00 am, Christophe Beaugrand will host alongside Jacques Legros and Julie Toméï, without former contributors Bénédicte Le Chatelier or Cécile de Ménibus.
Reality competition Koh-Lanta, the French adaptation of Survivor, returns on Tuesday, August 25 with an all-stars edition. The season features 18 iconic former contestants competing on an island in the Pacific Ocean.
TF1 is also launching several new entertainment formats during the season. YouTubers McFly and Carlito will host Cray mini-golf, a giant mini-golf game show, while presenter Jarry will front Double Jeu, joueur ou imposteur, in which eight contestants answer general knowledge questions while trying to identify a hidden impostor among them.
In addition, TF1 will broadcast a special celebrating the 20th anniversary of celebrity news magazine 50 mn inside. Sports program Téléfoot makes its return on Sundays at 11:00 am starting September 6.
For drama series, TF1 announced new fiction productions including La Comtesse de Monte-Cristo starring Audrey Fleurot, alongside L'été 36 and La Cible, which stars Tomer Sisley and Danse avec les stars dancer Fauve Hautot.
France 3 Hosting Controversy and Drama Series
Public channel France 3 faces controversy over afternoon show Samedi d'en rire. Host Jean-Luc Lemoine, who presented the program for seven years, stated that he was ousted to be replaced by Bernard Montiel. Panelists Marc Toesca and Yoann Riou announced their departure from the show in solidarity with Lemoine.
For news programming during the presidential campaign, journalist Carole Gaessler will host a new magazine show where political candidates will travel to several medium-sized French towns to debate directly with citizens.
Parent network France Télévisions also announced several major fiction series for the 2026-2027 season on France 3, including adaptations of Lucky Luke, Le Rouge et le Noir, and Triple Peine.
M6 Morning Changes and Game Shows
Starting in September, commercial channel M6 is expanding morning airtime for host Julien Courbet. His consumer affairs show Ça peut vous arriver will continue to broadcast simultaneously on radio station RTL and M6, followed by television-exclusive segment Ça peut vous arriver et vous between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm.
Real estate show Recherche appartement ou maison returns on September 3 without former host Stéphane Plaza following his legal troubles. The show will now be led by four real estate agents: Thibault Chanel, Sandra Viricel, Étienne Claude, and Camille Duquennoy.
M6 is introducing new entertainment show Wanted : attrape-moi si tu peux, where celebrities attempt to evade designated hunters. Initial participants include actor Rayane Bensetti, YouTubers Michou and Studio Danielle, and television presenter Christine Bravo.
