Peruvian singer Naldy Saldaña has announced that Briela Cirilo, who recently left the cumbia band Corazón Serrano, will join her as a special guest for her first concert as a solo artist, scheduled for October 10 in Lima.
Saldaña made the announcement on social media on Friday, September 11, revealing that the show will be held at the venue known as the Catedral de la Cumbia.

In her message, Saldaña thanked Cirilo for continuing to support her music and for standing by her throughout this period. She said she wanted to thank her from the heart for that support and for accompanying her on this path, adding that she was grateful for Cirilo's affection and for sharing such a special night with her, and inviting fans to watch the two of them sing together.
Corazón Serrano is one of Peru's most prominent cumbia groups, and Cirilo's departure from the band was announced only recently. Saldaña, for her part, built her career with La Bella Luz, another well known Peruvian cumbia group.

Allegations against former musical director
Saldaña's announcement came days after she returned to Magaly Medina's television program on Thursday, September 10, where she addressed recent statements made by César Sánchez, the former musical director of La Bella Luz, in relation to claims of inappropriate touching she had made against him. She said the support she received had not come from her former bandmates at La Bella Luz.
The appearance followed earlier reporting on the program about Sánchez's response to Saldaña's allegations, which she described as indignant.
Thanks to Magaly Medina
Saldaña also had words of gratitude for Magaly Medina, the host who exposed her case and publicly backed her complaint against Sánchez, whose full name is César Sánchez Chavesta. She said she wanted to thank Medina for all the support and backing given to her during such a difficult situation, after once again appearing on the set of "Magaly TV, al firme," where she voiced her indignation over Sánchez's defense.
She added that a new stage was beginning for her, with her own voice, her singing and her own name, referring to her upcoming launch as a solo artist.

Magaly Medina hosts "Magaly TV, al firme," a Peruvian entertainment and investigative program known for covering celebrity disputes and public complaints. Saldaña's solo concert at the Catedral de la Cumbia in Lima is set for October 10, with Briela Cirilo confirmed as her special guest.
