on the poster ofThrough the Spider-Verse’ you can see a mexican spiderman in one of the corners of the picture. This curious character seems to be a nod to Web-Slinger, an armed outlaw who appears in the animated series “Ultimate Spider-Man”, where Miles Morales arrives in a desert in Mexico, and this hero is dedicated to taking care of the city from different bandits .
However, it appears that the Mexican Spiderman is an original character created especially for ‘Spiderman: Through the Spider-Verse’, but many have also noted his similarity to other Spider-Men too close to Mexican culture, such as the one from Earth-1610, where Miles wears ponchos and sombreros. Or maybe it’s Peter from “Ultimate Spider-Man” playing a guitar.
