Workplace comedy BLOCKBUSTER is canceled after one season on Netflix

Comedy in the workplace Blockbuster it was canceled on Netflix after just one season. The 10-episode series launched its only season on Nov. 3. The show was a single-camera workplace comedy about the employees of the world’s latest Blockbuster Video.

The series starred Randall Park, Melissa Fumero, Olga Merediz, Tyler Alvarez, Madeleine Arthur, JB Smoove, Kamaia Fairburn, Leonard Robinsonand Keegan Connor Tracy. Vanessa Ramos created the series and served as an executive producer. David Caspe and Jackie Clarke also served as writers and executive producers. John Davis and John Fox are executive producers through Davis Entertainment. Universal Television was the studio.

The cancellation of the series didn’t come as a huge surprise, as ratings from fans and critics weren’t great. The show has never reached the top 10 in the United States, although it has appeared in the top 10 in Australia and Canada.

It’s a shame that some shows can’t make leaps and bounds, but it doesn’t seem like this one has had a huge fan base. You saw Blockbuster? Are you sorry for its cancellation?
