James Cameron reveals discussions are underway for another TERMINATOR film

After Terminator Genesis and Terminator: Dark Fate were released and saw disappointing box office numbers, I wasn’t sure we’d ever see another Terminator movie again. But there seems to be a chance it could happen!

James Cameron he recently revealed on the Smartless podcast (via The Playlist) that discussions are underway about him continuing the sci-fi action franchise. All Terminator movies made after that T2: Judgment Day it was disappointing. Dark fate it was the best made since T2but it was far from perfect. T2 just set the bar that high!

Cameron said on the podcast, “If I had to do one more Terminator movie and maybe try to launch that franchise again, that is up for debate, but nothing has been decided, I would do it much more on the AI ​​side than evil robots gone berserk.

The AI ​​side of things would certainly spice things up and offer a very different kind of point of view than any other film that has been made. He won’t go into any more detail, but I’d be interested in an AI-focused Terminator story. The killer robots obviously don’t work anymore.

Cameron recently opened up about what he felt was the problem Dark fatesaying, “I think what happened is I think the movie could have survived with Linda in it, I think it could have survived with Arnold in it, but when you put Linda and Arnold in it and then, you know, she’s 60 and something, he’s 70 and suddenly it wasn’t your Terminator movie, it wasn’t even your father’s Terminator movie, it was your grandfather’s Terminator movie.
