Warner offered DC Studios director to ‘Joker’ director because everyone turned him down

Discovery considered Todd Phillips as head of DC Studios, because no one who wanted the post dared to take it. “Everyone turned down the job. It was almost Todd Phillips. They begged him,” commented the new president of WB.

Before James Gunn took the job, warner you “pleaded” Todd Phillips takes over DC, regarding its films, series for HBO, animations and future video games of the company. Why didn’t Todd Phillips agree to run DC Studios?
