Gwen Stacy aka Ghost-Spider recently teamed up with heroic versions of herself from across the Marvel multiverse in the series Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse. But now she’s about to face the darker side of herself when twisted clones of herself are combined with Spidey’s most iconic villains in the next Spider-Gwen: Shadow Clones. Written by Emily Kimdrawn by Kei Zamaand with drawings by Peach momoko, this will be a five-issue limited series that will see Gwen transformed into new vile versions of Doctor Octopus, Sandman, Vulture, Rhino and Kraven the Hunter. And to celebrate this new group, artist Greg Earth will make some free variant covers. The pinup-style covers will pay homage to Land’s iconic variant cover from Edge of Spider-Verse #2, which was the first appearance of the Ghost-Spider. We have the first four variant covers to share with you, and they are amazing. The Sandman one is my favourite, I love the effect they got for the sand and I really like the way they designed the clothes for Gwen. I also really like Rhino’s cover, but I definitely think she looks more cute than threatening to us, like a little girl dressed up for Halloween. What’s your favorite cover?
