‘Sister Wives’: Meri Reveals Kody Has Decided They ‘Aren’t Married’ and Refused to Address the Issue Publicly

He said he doesn’t consider himself married to her and insisted it would be okay if he went looking for someone else.

According to Meri, Kody has never directly expressed these feelings to her. In fact, she was confused that he would so blatantly claim that their marriage was over without her talking to her first. “It doesn’t make sense to me that he’s so frustrated Christine [Brown] and be like, ‘He made this decision. We didn’t talk about it, we didn’t consult, she just made the decision’”, Meri says. “But then she says, ‘I don’t consider myself married to Meri. As if she had just made that decision. I’ve never heard him tell me that.

Meri explains that Kody led her to believe they were trying to make their marriage work, and says he even toasted her to a “fresh start” when they celebrated their one-year anniversary after the family moved to Arizona. “But this last birthday, she said, ‘I don’t even know why you called me, Meri. We don’t act like we’re married,” Meri reveals. However, she says she Kody refused to publicly acknowledge that the relationship was over.

“I said, ‘If this is where we are, don’t you think we should talk about it publicly?’” recalls Meri. “And he said, ‘No, I don’t want to talk about this because I don’t want the trial. When asked how she feels about the state of her relationship with Kody, she Meri has no choice about her. “He’s already made that decision,” she insists. Still, she says she would “definitely” reconcile with Kody, though she admits that “I don’t think he’s interested.”

As for Meri and Kody, they have been in trouble since Meri’s fishing scandal in 2015. The scandal involved Meri starting an online romance with a man over a period of 6 months. When Meri ended the relationship, the catfisherman posted messages that Meri had sent him in the course of their online exchanges, putting a strain on Meri and Kody’s marriage.
