Deadline on Thursday launched its streaming site for Contender’s film LA3C: Conversations With Contenders, the awards show held Saturday as part of the LA3C Culture and Music Festival in downtown Los Angeles.

The latest panels in our Contenders series feature new conversations with cast members and notable photo creatives, including Will Smith, Tom Hanks, Viola Davis, Ryan Coogler, Jerry Bruckheimer, Guillermo del Toro, Eddie Redmayne, Kerry Condon and Ron Howard, among others . discuss the path their projects have taken to get to this point in Oscar season.
The full cast at the JW Marriott at LA Live included Paramount’s Bruckheimer and Joseph Kosinksi Top Gun: Maverick; Smith and Antoine Fuqua of Apple Original Films liberation; Baz Luhrman from Warner Bros elvis; Tom Hanks and Marc Forster A man named Ottoand Davis, Thuso Mbedu, Gina Prince-Bythewood and Cathy Schulman from The queen of women, both from Sony Pictures; Howard and Joel Edgerton of Amazon Studios Thirteen lives; Cooler from Walt Disney Studios Black Panther: Wakanda Forever; Chinonye Chukwu by Orion Pictures/MGM Pictures/United Artists Releasing’s To; Condon of Searchlight Pictures The Banshees by Inisherin; and a trio of Netflix pictures starring del Toro Pinocchio by Guillermo del ToroRedmayne and Tobias Lindholm of The good nurseand Scott Cooper out The pale blue eye.
The event wraps up the 2022 schedule of the Contenders film series, which aims to give Academy and major guild voters a once-in-a-lifetime look at this year’s film hopefuls. This series included live events in New York and Los Angeles, as well as virtual events highlighting international and documentary titles.
