EARLIER: Patty Jenkins clears up what happened wonder woman 3 and her return to rogue squadron
“Sigh…I’m not one to discuss personal career matters, but I will not allow inaccuracies to continue,” Jenkins shared in a statement on Twitter.
“Here are the facts: 1 originally remained rogue squadron After a long and productive development process when it became clear it couldn’t happen soon enough and I didn’t want to delay it 3rd World War Also. When I did, Lucasfilm asked me to come back to RS after WW3, which I felt was an honor, so I agreed. You made a new deal with me. In fact, I am still working on it and this project has been actively developed since then. I don’t know if it will happen or not. We won’t do that until the development process is complete, but I’m looking forward to the future potential.”
The filmmaker states that she did not run away from anyone else wonder woman went ahead, but studio sources previously told Deadline that she did.
Jenkins continued, “When a backlash emerged that WW3 was over, the attractive false clickbait narrative that it was me to kill him or run spread. That’s just not true. I never didn’t run away I was open to whatever was asked of me I understood that at this point there was nothing I could do to move forward DC is clearly buried in changes they need to make so I understand these decisions are difficult now.
“I don’t want this big journey with WW to end negatively. I loved and am so honored to be the person who got to make these last two Wonder Woman films. She is an incredible character. Living in and around their values makes you a better person every day. I wish her and her legacy a wonderful future with or without me.”
Jenkins’ testimony comes after it was revealed she was undergoing treatment wonder woman 3 made no progress following her alleged exchange with notes from new DC bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran.
