We have no idea what the hell is going on at Warner Bros. and DC Studios regarding the future of the DC Cinematic Universe. There are a lot of reports coming out about Snyderverse projects, especially with Henry Cavill who was supposed to reprise his role as Superman in Man of Steel 2but there are multiple reports from insiders who question it.
Well, it turns out that in the fall of 2022, Peaky Blinders And See Creator Stefano Cavaliere pitched a sequel to Man of Steel for Warner Bros. He wrote a treatment for the project, but according to THR, “didn’t wow Warner execs, who gave notes.”
It is explained that “before things could take it to the next level, which may or may not have included hiring another writer given Knight’s very busy schedule, Jame Gunn and Peter Safran were hired and development wrapped promptly “.
So while there was some movement Man of Steel 2, that’s not the case anymore. Now, I’m sure we’ll see Superman again on the big screen, I’m just not convinced Cavill will be in the role. What do you think?
