Dwayne Johnson shared some new photos from the set of his upcoming holiday action movie Red. These photos characterize JK Simmons as Santa Claus, and was super ripped for the role! My goodness! Simmons is crazy! But he is a kind fool. Johnson shared the following note with photos:
“Ladies, gentlemen and children of all ages, the coolest, strongest, kindest Santa ever. Academy Award winner JK Simmons is in incredible shape for our Christmas film franchise.”
The images show Simmons pumping iron with Johnson and showing off his physique.
Two main characters of the story are called Callum Drift and Jack O’Malley, and Chris Evans he also stars in the film. The project is billed as a globetrotting four-quadrant action-adventure comedy that imagines a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre. Johnson previously described it as “Hobbs meets Miracle on 34th Street.”
Screenwriter Chris Morgan wrote the screenplay for Redand previously worked with the company on several Fast & Furious franchise movie. The film is directed by Jumanji franchise manager Jake Kasdan, and it even stars Kiernan Shipka And Lucy Liu.
The film will arrive on Amazon, but there is no release date yet.
