Adam Sandler he’s as committed to his career as he’s ever been. After decades of comedy after its run Saturday night livehe turned to dramas and continued to release films quite often, with several hits and interesting roles.
In a recent live Q&A hosted by Happy Sad Confused podcast host Josh Horowitz after a screening of Sandler’s latest film, feverish activity in New York City, the actor opened up about the projects he has on the horizon and dropped the news of a brand new movie he’s working on. The film will be a collaboration with Roberto Smigel, who also previously worked on SNL, creating animated shorts for the Saturday TV series Funhouse, as Ambiguously Gay Duo. Smigel is also the voice and puppeteer of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.
Sandler explained:
“He’s directing a movie that we wrote together and have been working on for a long time, and actually, Paul Sado helped write it, and I think it’s coming out next November. It’s a musical about elementary school — graduating elementary school and getting ready to pass in middle school and being afraid of middle school and the nerves that come with it.”
Sounds like a cute and fun project right up Sandler’s alley. Sound like a movie you want to see?
