2022 is coming to an end, just a few more weeks, and one of the years that could be remembered as the triumphant return of cinema is coming to an end, after a rather dark period thanks to the health crisis. But the next 12 months will bring light to the industry, with some of the most anticipated dramas from great directors yet to return.
It is worth mentioning that many tapes will be excluded from the list and others will not be included in the list dramas from great directors for 2023, because they don’t enter the genre. Although it is worth mentioning some that must be taken into account, such as “Disappointment Blvd” by Ari Aster”, “Asteroid City” by Wes Anderson, “Cvil War” by Alex Garland, “Poor Things” by Yorgos Lanthimos” or ” Dune : Part 2′ by Denis Villeneuve.

Let’s start with what could be the return of one of the most successful directors for 2023, is Christopher Nolan’s “Oppeheimer,” which has one of the largest casts ever. Directed by Cilliam Murphy and Robert Downey Jr., the film will also feature big names like Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Gary Odlman, among many others.
The flower moon killers
Another God great directors who return in 2023 with his new film is Martin Scorsese with ‘The flower moon killers’, a period drama produced by Apple TV, which will star Leonardo DiCaprio, Brendan Fraser, Robert De Niro and others. It is based on the novel of the same name, which tells of the murder of some Native Americans who found oil on their land. The director says it’s coming “very soon.”

Barbie
With a touch of romantic comedy, Greta Gerwig returns with her next project, ‘Barbie’, which will star Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Emma Mackey, Simu Liu, among many others. The story will take the most famous and successful doll of all time, to give her a twist that will have an impact on the new generations. The premiere date will be next July 21, 2023.
The murderer
The director of masterpieces such as ‘Se7en’ or ‘Zodiac’ will return in 2023, even without a release date, with ‘The Killer’, the new film by David Fincher, starring Michael Fassbender. It is a Netflix thriller that tells the story of a cold and lonely killer, who kills his victims without remorse, but who is slowly losing his mind.
Napoleon
Finally, one of the most active directors in recent years is Ridley Scott, who will return in 2023 with ‘Napoleon’. The story will star Joaquin Phoenix and Vanessa Kirby, where the rise to power of the French leader is told, and which will be released on the Apple TV + platform.
