Though ‘Blood Origin’ is nearing its release, many fans of ‘The Witcher’ have not taken the news of Henry Cavill’s exit from the Netflix fantasy series well. With new names arriving in the show’s fourth season, the void left by the Superman actor could pose danger to the future of Geralt’s story.
The fourth season of ‘The witcher’ will be directed by Lauren Hissrich, executive producer and showrunner of the Netflix series, while Liam Hemsworth will replace Henry Cavill in the role of Geralt. Both are expected to bring a new energy to the Netflix show. Hissrich had an interview with IGN, where he commented that he’s excited about the changes for the future of the show.
Hissrich hopes there will be some big changes for the show’s fourth season: “What I’m excited about is that we’re allowing this franchise to continue to grow and gain new energy and chemistry that we haven’t discovered yet,” he said. “And to me that’s part of the fun of television; You don’t know exactly where the adventure will end. So that’s something I’m very excited about.”
Lauren’s words set off fans’ alarms of ‘The witcher’, because they think Netflix should know where Geralt’s story ends. And with the departure of Henry Cavill, this shows that the company has no intention of respecting the original novels of Andrzej Sapkowski, which is why the Superman actor would have decided to leave behind the role of Geralt.

Netflix doesn’t know where ‘The Witcher’ is going.
Both the production company and the rest of Netflix have expressed their love for the original ‘The Witcher’ novels, making sure they are all committed “to maintaining the story presented in the eight-book series.” But, various media have ensured that, Henry Cavill’s Departure Is Due To Company And Writing Staff Teasing Andrzej Sapkowski’s Storyand they had no intention of following her at all.
Many fans feel that, beyond Henry Cavill’s exit from the series, what’s really concerning is that Netflix has decided to get rid of “what makes ‘The Witcher’ good in the first place”, namely its protagonist. Cavill had always shown his great love and respect for Geralt’s books and video games, and this infected fans knowing that he was in good hands.
After the announcement of the farewell of the protagonist, many followers of the story of Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer on the big screen voted that, for the fourth season with Liams Hemsworth, they would leave the story of the white wizard. This would spell great danger for Netflix, but there is currently no release date for the next installments.
