Bernard Hillthe actor who played King Théoden in Peter Jackson’S The Lord of the Rings movie, not a fan of Amazon The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Powerand he never has to look at it to know he doesn’t like it.
During a recent interview with Metro, the actor was asked if he watches The rings of power and snapped back, “No, I don’t care.” She went on to add, “It’s a money-making venture, and I’m not interested in watching or participating in it.”
But he wished the cast and crew luck, even if he doesn’t acknowledge it as the real thing. He said, “Good luck to them and all that stuff, but it’s not like the real thing.” Comments like this just make me laugh, but I get it.
Hill was also asked if The Lord of the Rings the franchise was supposed to end after Peter Jackson finished filming his original trilogy with The return of the king, to which Hill replied, “Completely, yes.” Then he turned to the Hobbit movies and said, ‘I think they were pushing it when they made it. The Hobbit. The Hobbit‘a small book.’ They did it right, they did it really, really well. They expanded it [but] I think you can only stretch one piece of rubber band so far. I think they succeeded The Hobbit because there was some really good stuff The Hobbit no doubt.”
Well, if he liked it The Hobbitshould enjoy The rings of power because that series is better than those hobbit movies. As far as cash grabs go, just about everything Hollywood is producing these days is a cash grab! All studios want to make money! You might also enjoy watching good projects made in the money grabbing system, and The Rings of Power is good!
The series has garnered rave reviews. It’s a shame Hill doesn’t watch it, but to each his own!
