Michelle Yeoh, an actress destined to have a spectacular award run for her role in “Everything Everywhere”; she directs the cast of ‘Blood Origin’, prequel to ‘The Witcher’ premieres on Netflix December 25thand who just released a new trailer.

“The Witcher: The Origin of Blood” revolves around three different characters played by: Laurence O’Fuarain (“Vikings”) as Fjall, a clan warrior sworn to protect the king; Yeoh (“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”) who gives life to Scian, the last member of a nomadic tribe of elves; and Sophia Brown (“Disobedience”) as Éile, an elite warrior blessed with the voice of a goddess.
Placed as a six-episode miniseriesthis television drama is set in an elven world that places us 1200 years before the events of the main series, led by Henry Cavill in its early seasons. According to the official synopsis, ‘Blood Origin’ “tells a story lost in time: the legend about the creation of the first Witcher prototype and the events that lead to the union of the world of monsters, that of men and that of elves”. Minnie Driver, Lenny Henry, Mirren Mack, Nathaniel Curtis, Dylan Moran, Jacob Collins-Levy, Huw Novelli, Francesca Mills, Zach Wyatt, Lizzie Annis and Amy Murray round out the cast.

“The Witcher”, the parent series that kicked off the television universe in which “The Origin of Blood” is framed, has just undergone a major change. Henry Cavillan actor who played the lead, Geralt de Rivia, from seasons one to three, which will debut on Netflix in the summer of next year; he dropped out of the role. Such an interpreter who was also actively involved in the adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels, March will take care of other projects, such as the return of his Superman, and will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth.
Yeoh, in statements to eonline, wanted to comment on the situation, assuring that he thinks so quibble “he did a great job” and now we just have to wait to find out “what Hemsworth can contribute”.
