A few months after the announcement of the end of its production, Gen V, spin-off of ‘The Boys’, has just released a very gory first look and with the strangest surprise. The series, starring Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Chance Perdomo, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Sean Patrick Thomas and Marco Pigossi, will launch on Amazon Prime Video next year; takes us to Godolkin University where the Supers proliferate in full hormonal and violent peak.

Sinclair (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”) leads the short teaser that doesn’t reveal much about the plot, but It arrives well loaded with blood and with the confirmation of three other cast members: Clancy Brown, Alexander Calvert and Jason Ritter.. Additionally, the images have the special look of Jessie Usher, Colby Minifie and PJ Byrne reprising their characters from ‘The Boys’, A-Train, Ashley Barrett and Adam Bourke. Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters are the showrunners and executive producers of this television drama that features Eric Kripke, creator of the original series, as executive producer along with Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver and Michaela Starr.
‘Gen V’, as explained by Kripke himself, mixes its college story with touches of “The Hunger Games”, as it is set in the only university in the United States exclusively for superheroes (and operated by Vought International). This proposal for people over 18 (obviously), explores the lives of some Supers who are not only at their hormonal peak, but are more competitive than ever. The aim of the protagonists of this drama is to test their physical, sexual and moral limits by competing for the best contracts in the best cities..
Essence ‘The Boys’
Eric Kripke, the backbone of the ‘The Boys’ universe who says he doesn’t have in mind the development of more derivative plots, at least for now; describes ‘Gen V’ as “a resolute look at reality, so the goal of this is to do a superhero series that at the same time offers one of the most realistic looks that have been made on university life. We want to tackle real issues and explore what it’s like to be that age.”.
Furthermore, the director adds that ‘Gen V’ simply came to them, despite the fact that they weren’t looking to develop a spin-off. “It came about because we think there is a real opportunity to see another part of the world of Vought and because, more importantly, allows us to make a series that is not seen so oftenthat we love”.
