‘The Walking Dead’: Alternate ending image showing adult versions of Judith and RJ

Just a few days ago we echoed the information that indicated the existence of an alternative ending to ‘The Walking Dead’. On Monday, November 21, the popular zombie series ended more than twelve years after its first installment aired. During the finale, fans of the series were able to enjoy the return of Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira as Rick Grimes and Michonne. However, the closing would have had an extra scene, which despite being recorded, ended up being deleted. This news was confirmed by the director of photography of the title, Duane Charles Manwiller, who He shared on his social networks a photo corresponding to the filming of that moment.

In the deleted scene, RJ and Judith (Rick and Michonne’s children) could be seen in their older version, picking up the baton from the parents and circulating with a truck in search of survivors. Additionally, the scene took place on the exact same highway outside Atlanta that Rick rode on during the pilot episode, which first aired on October 31, 2010. Along with them, in the back of the vehicle, there would also be Ezra, Coco and Gracie..

Thanks to the image shared by the cinematographer, we can finally see what the adult versions of these characters would have looked like. At left we find RJ, played by Roland Buck III, actor of ‘Chicago Med’. Joining her are Seoum Tylor Aun (“Cobra Kai”), Sahara Ale (“Walker”) and Tess Cline (“The Rookie”) who bring to life respectively Ezra, Coco and Gracie. In the end, at far right is Britt Baron (“Glow”) bringing to life the 20-year-old version of Judith.

The growth of both characters

From the first installment of the series to this latest release, we could see the growth of Judith. Indeed, the young woman served as an indicator or measuring system to know the time elapsed in the series. During the first three seasons, she was just introduced to us as an embryo born from the love affair between Lori Grimes and Shane Walsh, only to be born during the third season.
