‘Black Adam’ not only marked the beginning of a new phase in the Warner house, after the abandonment of the old board of directors of the company, but also the return of one of the most important figures of the EUDC who had been absent from the times of ‘Justice League’ . It’s about Henry Cavill as Superman, who Dwayne Johnson says Warner Bros didn’t want to bring back.

Through a new video on their social networks, Dwayne Johnson explains Warner didn’t want to bring Henry Cavill back as Superman, rather uncomfortable topic within the company, after the release of ‘Justice League’. And is that, after the merger of WB and Discovery, the old advice was gone and David Zaslav joined many voices who refused to make it possible.

In the seven-minute video, Dwayne Johnson addresses that Warner “inexplicably and unjustifiably had no intention of reintroducing Henry Cavill’s version of Superman into the EUDC”. It wasn’t until Dwayne himself and his team of producers lobbied the company that a cameo in ‘Black Adam’ was possible, and a deal was eventually struck to bring him to more films and series in the future.

Despite Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’ Premiere On HBO Max And Fan Support, DC Films declined to cast Henry Cavill as Superman. But given the response from followers, and the good numbers the actor had achieved with his most recent productions, the company finally gave in to the requests, and is now part of DC’s future.

Henry Cavill and the situation with ‘Man of Steel 2’

Soon after Henry Cavill’s return as Superman in ‘Black Adam’, rumors surfaced that ‘The Witcher’ actor would be in demand for his first major appearance at EUDC’s new stage, ‘Man of Steel 2’. Of which it would have already been said that he has entered its early stages of pre-production, but neither Warner nor DC have confirmed anything on that score.

Later, DC Films new directors James Gunn and Peter Safran were rumored to be meeting with Christopher Nolan and Steven Spielberg to direct the ‘Man of Steel’ sequel. And the latest information shows that the production of the film is already more advanced than initially believed, and that filming would begin in early 2023.

However, all of these are rumors and nothing is confirmed at the moment. The reality is that James Gunn and Peter Safran will reveal to Warner their plan for the next 10 years of DC Films, which could include all the participation of Henry Cavill as Superman. The bad news is that this roadmap would be revealed to fans until a new special event from the company.
