It’s official that there will be a ‘Game of Thrones’ movie; George RR Martin confirms this

The creator George RR Martin, confirmed in an interview for Penguin Random House, that the universe of ‘Game of Thrones’ will have its first filmwill be an animated version that Warner Bros Animation is working on, e will be based on his book ‘The Ice Dragon’ written in 1978 and that should be a great fantasy.

The movie “Game of Thrones” would be animated and suitable for the whole family

The book on which the first film in this fantasy universe will be based was originally published in 1980 and reprinted in children’s story format in 2007, following the story of a dragon and Adara, a girl living in a small village who is an outcast . from the rest of the children and who, as she remembers, was born in the greatest frost of memory, for which her only and best friend is an ice dragon that nobody wants and everyone fears.

This book, having had an adaptation as a children’s story, suggests that the animated film will be suitable for the whole family and will not have a classification like that of the series by the same author that are in HBO Max, and which are reserved for adults. Another of the details that George RR Martin revealed in the presentation of his new book ‘The Rise of the Dragon: An Illustrated History of the Targaryen Dynasty’, is that David Anthony Durham will write the screenplay for the animated film that adds to the universe of ‘game of Thrones’.

“Some of you may know that I occasionally wrote other books that weren’t part of Westeros or whatever [historia]. And one of the ones I wrote in 1978 was a story about a dragon, an ice dragon, and it’s called The Ice Dragon,” said George, who in turn added that his work on which the said film will be based animation, was illustrated by Alicia Austin, without providing further details so far on the work done by Warner Bros.
