Nicolas Cage and Jaeden Martell (It) will lead the cast of an upcoming survival action thriller titled Sand and stone. The cast also includes Maxwell Jenkins (Lost in space) And Sadie Soverall (Destiny: the saga of the Winx).
The film is set in “a sparsely populated, post-apocalyptic world where Paul (Cage) and his teenage twin sons, Joseph (Martell) and Thomas (Jenkins), have managed to eke out an existence, yet live in constant fear . Until, faced with imminent danger, they must enact a desperate plan to survive.
The film is directed by Ben Brewer (Confidence) and has just started production in Dublin, Ireland. Mike Nilon (Courageous) wrote the screenplay and will produce alongside Cage’s Saturn Films and Redline Entertainment David Wulf (Call Jane) and Highland Film Group Ariadne Fraser And Delphine Perrieras well as Braxton Pope (The card counter).
Highland Film Group CEO Fraser said in a statement: “Jaeden and Maxwell are rising stars and are perfectly cast to play the twin sons of Paul, played by the incomparable Nicolas Cage. And rounding out our fantastic cast is up-and-coming actress Sadie Soverall in this thrilling, action-packed journey.
