The official trailer and release date of Montana Story, directed by Scott McGee and David Siegel, has been released.
The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in September. A few weeks later, Blacker Street acquired the US rights, and Stage 6 Films in a separate agreement acquired the international rights to the photo. Starring Haley Lou Richardson, Owen Teague, Gilbert Owor, Kimberly Guerrero, Eugene Brave Rock and Asivak Kustachin.
The film tells the story of two separate siblings, Cal (Owen Teague) and Erin (Haley Lou Richardson), who return to a sprawling farm they once knew and loved and face their deep and bitter family legacy against the backdrop of a mountain landscape. The fate of his sick and unscrupulous father and his beloved old horse are at stake as both try to re-establish family ties.
McGee and Siegel shot mountain story A six-week extension on 35mm anamorphic film in and around Paradise Valley, near Livingston, MT, last winter, after making up a story in the pandemic lockdown.
