A new trailer and poster has been released by Netflix for their upcoming Christmas animated film, Scrooge: A Christmas Carol. This is based on the classic tale of Charles Dickensand is written and directed by Stephen Donnelli (Monster High: Welcome to Monster High).
The voice cast is amazing and includes Luke Evans (Scrooge voices), Olivia Colmann (Past entries), Jessie Buckley (voices Isabel Fezziwig), Johnny Flynn (voices Bob Cratchit), Fra Tax (voices Harry Huffam), Giles Terera (voices Tom Jenkins), Trevor Dion Nicholas (voices present), James Cosmo (voices Mr. Fezziwig), e Jonathan Pryce (voices Jacob Marley).
Here is the description of the film:
Produced by Timeless Films in association with Axis Studios and directed by Stephen Donnelly, the ageless legend of Charles Dickens is reborn in this supernatural, time-traveling, musical adaptation of the definitive Christmas story. With his very soul at stake, Scrooge has only one Christmas Eve to face his past and build a better future. Featuring reimagined tunes written for the film by legendary and two-time Academy Award winner Leslie Bricusse OBE, Scrooge: A Christmas Carol is a song for a new generation to sing about.
The film tells the story that we have seen recreated many times over the years. I really don’t see the need for another version of this story, since we’ve seen it The Muppets Christmas Carol, and that movie is *chef’s kiss* to perfection. But kids like new animated movies to watch during the holidays, so I guess they can give it a try. I’d be willing to take a look for music. Watch the trailer below and enjoy Scrooge: A Christmas Carol on Netflix December 2.
