It has been a week since James Gunn and Peter Safran assumed their positions as co-presidents and co-CEOs at the helm of DC Studios. As we have already reported, The idea of Warner Bros. Discovery is to focus its future on the most successful franchises. Well, according to The Hollywood Reporter, there was a new meeting between the two directors and David Zaslav, the CEO of the production company. In said meeting, Safran placed particular emphasis on focusing on telling a single story.

Zaslav’s goal with appointing Safran and Gunn has always been to help DC look as much like Marvel Studios as possible.the most successful film franchise in history, known for its overarching storylines that connect all of its films and form an endless saga. “It’s a unique opportunity to tell a great overall story.. A beautiful big story through film, TV series, live action and animation”said the producer of ‘Shazam!’ and “Aquaman”.
For his part, the director of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ confirmed that they are drawing up a plan for eight or ten years. “The opportunity to make DC as great as it should be, that’s why I’m doing this job because I know Peter and I can do it. We’ve spent the last few days with some of the best thinkers and writers in the industry starting to map out that eight- to 10-year plan. how they will look in film, TV, animation and across the board for these characters”Gunn says.
Zack Snyder won’t be returning to DC just yet

After the well-known social media movement for Snyder’s version to be released, ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ was released on HBO Max and the director started focusing on other projects.
