Bruce Willis he may be retired, but there are still films he’s made that haven’t been released yet. Today the trailer for one of these action thrillers, titled Detective Knight: Redemption.
This is actually the second film in a trilogy. The first film came out last month and is called Detective Knight: Thief. This new movie really looks better than I expected.
In this new film, Bruce Willis plays Detective James Knight: “In custody in New York, Knight finds himself in the middle of a breakout led by The Christmas Bomber, a brutal fanatic whose disciples of Santa are terrorizing the city. With a promise to return his badge in exchange for killing the terrorists, the Steel-Eyed Knight bestows mercy on the righteous … and merciless justice for everything else.
The film was directed by Edward Drake (Animals, To grill, Cosmic Sin, Apex, American siege, Petrol alleyit is the first Detective Knight) and is also the protagonist Lochlyn Munro, Corey great, Miranda Edwards, Beau MirchoffAnd Paul Johansson.
I was recently talking to a director who worked with Willis several times over the past few years before he retired. He was telling me that Willis loved working on these small, low-budget action movies. He just loved working and it was always a joy to have him on set. He also told me that Willis felt that working kept his mind clear and that he was very disappointed when he pulled the trigger on his retirement because he still wanted to keep working.
This was an interesting insight that I thought I’d share that I learned. It gave me a different perspective on things about Willis and his work.
Detective Knight: Thief will be released in selected theaters and on VOD starting December 9, 2022.
