Marvel sequel Ant-Man and the Vespa: Quantumania it’s headed our way and a big change in the roster is the newcomer Catherine Newtonwho plays a teenage version of Scott Lang / Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) of his daughter, Cassie Lang.
Cassie has always been a curious and intelligent little girl, and from the first trailer of the film we could tell that she went directly into the family business of quantum science and the fight against crime. She is now a teenager on top of all the complications of their unique position, and Newton talked a little bit about her about her take on her character.
In a recent interview with Entertainment tonightNewton explained:
“That I’m not really perfect and I’m super impatient and I want to be a hero but I have no idea what I’m doing and I think Cassie Lang is like that. She’s just trying to figure out how to be a good person and you can make a lot of mistakes. She’s really a kind of a mess, yes, and so am I. You will surely see some. Oh, my good heart. “
It certainly looks like Cassie will cause trouble in this upcoming movie, as her dad gets behind her when she is accidentally sucked into the quantum realm.
The Heroes of History, which also includes Hope van Dyne’s Wasp (Evangeline Lilli), Janet Pym (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michele Douglas) will face an extremely dangerous enemy, Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors).
Ant-Man and the Vespa: Quantumania is currently scheduled to be released on February 17, 2023.
