EA and Marvel recently announced they are teaming up on a long-term deal. This deal will bring at least three new action-adventure games to players. According to the press release, each game will feature its own original story and the first will focus on Iron Man. This new game will be a single-player third-person game developed by Motive Studios (Dead space, Star Wars: Battlefront II). Olivier Prolux (Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy) leads the team that includes industry veterans such as Ian Frazier, Maelenn LumineauAnd JF Poirier to bring fans a great experience.
Developed in collaboration with Marvel, the Iron Man game will feature an original narrative that draws on the character’s rich history, channeling Tony Stark’s complexity, charisma and creative genius and allowing players to experience what it’s like to really play as Man. of iron.
Speaking of the deal, of EA Laura Honey She said:
We are longtime fans of Marvel and their impressive leadership, so this is an extraordinary time for our developers, as well as for our players and fans. We look forward to welcoming Marvel into the EA family of creators, and we know this collaboration will produce exceptional experiences for our players. We can’t wait to see player reactions when they dress up as Iron Man and do the amazing things this Super Hero is famous for.
Jay Ong at Marvel Games shared:
At Marvel, we strive to find the best teams who can take our characters on heroic journeys in ways never seen before, and partnering with Electronic Arts will help us achieve that. We pride ourselves on being enthusiastic and creative collaborators with developers so that they have the freedom to create something deeply unique and truly extraordinary. The Motive team is starting to do that with their Iron Man video game and we can’t wait for players to learn more in the distant future.
There’s no release window yet, but I guess we’ll hear a lot more about this game next year. Are you excited about this deal? I’d be lying if I said I don’t have any reservations (this is EA we’re talking about after all), but maybe this will be the series of games to get for the next few years. What heroes do you hope to see in the games and what kind of stories and game mechanics do you hope to see?
