Free League Publishing revealed that the first expansion for the second edition of The One Ring Role playing game, Ruins of the lost kingdom, will be released on October 25 with pre-orders already available. Journey to the Eriador Islands, between the Misty Mountain and the Mountains of Moons, where the Hobbits found both Men and Elves.
There it was still a remnant of the Dunedain, the kings of Men who came out of the West across the Sea, but they were rapidly dwindling and the lands of their Northern Kingdom were falling far and wide into desolation. A region often described as deserted becomes a melting pot of adventure. This is an illustrated volume of 120 hardcover pages and contains the following:

Chapter 1: Fog Over Eriador offers a description of the regions that were once part of the kingdom of Arnor, with a special focus on the city of Tharbad.

chapter 2: A Gathering Storm provides the Loremaster with a series of narrative elements aimed at building a possible future for the land of Eriador as a whole, including descriptions of many looming threats, the characters of the Loremaster and their programs.

chapter 3: Landmarks adds twelve sites of interest in the style of that presented in the main volume. These locations depict both of the “historical” sites mentioned in The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbitand others that were created specifically for the game.
