‘Black Adam’: Dwayne Johnson explains the importance of fighting for that post-credits scene

‘Black Adam’ is already in theaters, the film that introduces the anti-hero to the DC universe that Dwayne Johnson has been waiting for more than a decade to play. In it we see how he returns to Kahndaq to protect his people, leaving behind a trail of blood and destruction. To stop him comes the Justice Society, a veteran group of superheroes led by Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), sent to make him understand that justice cannot be taken into his hands. Jaume Collet-Serra directs this film which The Rock hopes is Teth Adam’s first step into the franchise, and has big plans for him.. The actor has already dropped it in several interviews and also remembered it at the Madrid premiere of the film: “Stay until the end. The first encounter between the most powerful force on Earth, Black Adam, and the most powerful force in the entire universe awaits you.”. That meeting is, as they say, between Adam and Superman. And unlike other movies where we didn’t see the Kryptonian’s face, this time it’s Henry Cavill himself again. Superman responds to a call from Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) after picking up Black Adam’s glove when he tells her to send whoever he wants, because she won’t bend over.

Henry Cavill’s relationship with DC was not very clear. The actor had played Superman for the last time in “Justice League”, and in principle his contract ended there. Although fans have been calling for his return, Warner were reluctant to bring him back and seemed to be turning the page with other projects related to Krypton or other Superman. I’ve always said we don’t want to be Marvel, I respect and love them, but we want to do it our way, DC’s way. To do it our way we have to build it strategically and you can’t do it without your number one: Superman.”.

Henry Cavill aims to form an important part of DC’s future. A few days ago it was rumored that a sequel to “Man of Steel” would be in the works, and we’re assuming the “Black Adam” post-credits scene is a preview of what Dwayne Johnson is cooking. “I have a lot of passion when it comes to Black Adam and DC, and we are very grateful that as a producer, Seven Bucks, we can tell stories in that universe.” he points out, and claims to believe in the new managers of Warner Bros.
