Charlie Cox is back as Daredevil. She recently revived his character for a cameo in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and, more recently, sneaked into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in two episodes of “She-Hulk: Lawyer She-Hulk” . Coming soon, Cox will be wearing his superhero costume again for the new Disney + series within the MCU, “Daredevil: Born Again”. Recently, the actor gave an interview to Marvel.com in which revealed that he owes his entire career to his fan-driven social media campaign known as #SaveDaredevil.

“Whatever happens to my career, from now on I owe it mainly to the #SaveDaredevil campaign. Even when I lost hope years ago, they didn’t and continued to campaign and support. Over the years I have met many and they are a very enthusiastic and passionate audience “.Cox said during his interview on the official website. “Daredevil is an incredible character. It has been a great honor in my career to get that role and to be able to play it. I had a lot of fun with it. It changed my life irrevocably.” the actor commented enthusiastically.
The hashtag #SaveDaredevil was born after Netflix canceled its original series, “Daredevil” after three seasons. Fans created this social media hashtag to ask Disney to save Cox’s character and officially take him to the MCU. Disney agreed, but had to wait two years after Netflix’s cancellation to recover the rights and be able to use the iconic character in their own universe.
Fans, who haven’t seen another in Daredevil’s skin, cheered Cox’s return as Matt Murdock in “No Way Home” and “She-Hulk: Lawyer Hulka”. In this last, viewers noticed that the character had a less somber tone than what we had seen on Netflix, also wearing a revamped suit. The “new” Matt Murdock seems more cheerful and accommodating than his previous character on Netflix, however Marvel has already confirmed that it is the same character, not a multiverse variant.
But it resists social networks
Although Cox knows the importance that social networks have had in his return, already officially within the UCM, he still does not have profiles. The British actor has said on more than one occasion that he does not manage himself well on the internet and that he is not interested in opening accounts on Twitter or Instagram.with which the comments and praise of the fans come from third parties. “I’m not on social media. So I don’t get all kinds of comments, articles and data.”explains in the same interview. “But when the eighth episode of ‘She-Hulk’ aired, my 16 year old nephew was with me. He was looking at his phone the whole time and I was like what are you watching? He showed me a lot. of comments, gifs, and the things people were saying. It was nice to see some of the fan reaction for a minute. “.
