It has been 38 years since ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’ hit theaters around the world. However, It wasn’t until the last D23 Expo when we echoed the exciting reunion between Harrison Ford and Ke Huy Quan. Now, the Vietnamese-born actor, who played Stopper in the 1984 film, has shared a little more about this moment with reporter Kyle Buchanan.

Quan, recently confirmed as a cast member for the second season of “Loki”, is also particularly well known for his role as Data in “The Goonies”. After his most iconic works as a child, the actor has decided to leave the cinema until now, for some reasons that he himself explained at the beginning of the year.. For the part of him, Ford is promoting the premiere of “Indiana Jones 5″which will arrive on the big screen on June 30, 2023.
“Ke Huy Quan told me the wonderful story behind this “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” reunion with Harrison Ford. (This is from an article I have for the end of this week, but I couldn’t wait to share it) “Buchanan wrote, accompanying the tweet with a screenshot with the actor’s declarations of ‘Everything now and everywhere’.

In the image, we can read Quan who reveals the details of the meeting: “We were at event D23 and they told me Harrison would be there.. We were in a VIP room with many actors, producers and directors, and the person in charge of helping me said: ‘Harrison Ford is right outside the green room. Do you want to go say hello? ‘ And I think, Sure, we haven’t seen each other for 38 years!”.
“So I went out and saw him 5 meters away talking to Phoebe Waller-Bridge, with whom he came to promote ‘Indiana Jones 5’. As I approached, my heart was pounding. I thought, will he recognize me? The last time you saw me, I was a kid”, the actor confesses. However, the “The Fugitive” star recognized him instantly: “Are you Tapon?”. When he replied: “Yes Indy”. Subsequently, they both broke up in a big hug and remembered the old moments of filming. “He is one of the most generous men on the planet”Quan concludes.
