The latest installment of the Halloween franchise has come to an end Halloween ends. In it, Michael Myers and Jamie Lee CurtisLaurie Strode faces off once again after a brutal fight in the kitchen of her home.
If you haven’t seen the movie yet, you might want to skip this one as I’m now entering spoiler territory. This was not the original ending of the film. According to the director David Gordon Greenthey ended up changing it after the test screenings.

Eventually we saw, Laurie and Allyson manage to brutally defeat Myers and injure him to the point that he bleeds to death right on their table.
After killing him, along with the police, they attach his body to a car and parade him through Haddonfield. The community goes out to watch and a procession forms, which ends at the rescue site. That’s where Laurie puts Michael’s body in an industrial shredder and they wipe it out. He died. He is not going back from that.
When it comes to the original ending, Green explains that Haddonfield while witnessing Laurie grinding Michael was added after the screenings of the first versions of the film. He told Entertainment Weekly:
“We were trying to do a slightly more modest and intimate ending. [Halloween] Kills was big and expansive, super loud and aggressive, almost like an action movie in places, and I wanted this to go back to simple dramatic roots.
“But then there were times when I thought it didn’t work big enough and I wanted some scope. We wanted something bigger and bigger. [that became] the sequence of the procession. So the actual ending of the film we created this summer, like two months ago, after having screened it a few times. “
Green also explained that there were more endings considered for the final chapter:
“We went through a lot of endings. Some were really dark and some less dark. The version we ended up with, I think, is upbeat, hopeful. After Kills came out with a dark ending, I didn’t want to do it again. satisfaction”.
What do you think of the way Halloween ends has it come to an end? Did you like it? Do you hate him? What would you have liked to see?
