Below you will find the complete press release with all the details:
Supremacy Games, a Helsinki-based developer and publisher, has partnered with Tyranno Studios, a team of Web3 pioneers and video game industry veterans to release an officially licensed NFT collection based on Shepperton Design Studio’s Original Stormtrooper.
Remember that space opera movie that took the world by storm and has since spawned one of the most recognizable and beloved sci-fi universes? Remember its most iconic symbol: a massive Stormtrooper army in black and white armor? Well, now Supremacy Games is offering fans of distant galaxies the chance to own an officially licensed original NFT Stormtrooper.
On October 27, Supremacy Games will launch the officially licensed collection on the Ethereum blockchain, giving space saga fans a unique opportunity to purchase original Stormtrooper-themed NFTs. The collection will include 10,000 NFTs.
Supremacy Games, a Finnish Web3-centric game developer and publisher founded in 2020, is the licensee responsible for the Stormtrooper NFT collection and has partnered with Tyranno Studios to manage the initial sale. Owners will be able to use their NFTs in an upcoming game and access future drops based on another iconic, yet unannounced design from Shepperton.
When the first Stormtroopers were first produced nearly half a century ago, Web3 technology would have looked like something out of a science fiction movie, “said Supremacy CEO Jari Pauna.” Now, thanks to our agreement with Shepperton Design Studios, Original Stormtrooper fans can own their own digital version of this uniquely recognizable character.
Andrew Ainsworth of Shepperton Design Studios helped create the iconic Stormtrooper costume in 1976 and still reviews all designs for Original Stormtrooper products ensuring high levels of accuracy and authenticity for anything produced under license, including a wide range of products available worldwide. Anyone who purchases this collection of NFTs can, therefore, be sure that the digital representation is faithful to the original.
Michael Rubinelli, Chief Gaming Officer of Tyranno Studios, said, “We are delighted to help Supremacy and Shepperton Design Studios bring iconic Original Stormtrooper designs to fans of the franchise and present them in a whole new way to a new demographic. The addition of future utility in an upcoming game makes this drop even more noticeable. “
Tyranno Studios has been hugely successful in integrating major brands into Web3. Last year, the company partnered with Sony Pictures and AMC Theaters to give away the official Spider-man: No Way Home NFTs. Many other global brands have entered the WAX blockchain, including Street Fighter, NASCAR, and Atari.
